Gregor Golobič, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia, on April 16, 2010, visited Unior d.d. He was acquainted with a company that has been successfully operating for nine decades and with its future development projects and plans. The minister then also visited the production of the pressed parts programme and the production of the Sinter programme.
During the visit, the representatives of the company discussed the development of individual projects and the opportunities and challenges of the current economic situation for Unior's technological advance. Special attention was given to the development projects that are tied to the non-refundable means of the EU and to what extent governmental support is expected for individual projects. The minister was also interested in experiences and proposals made to the government about removing obstacles in certain projects, thus giving additional support to the company's technical and technological development and to the development of products with high added value.
The minister was pleasantly surprised regarding the production in Unior and also welcomed the Unior developmental strategy.
